TWO SLOT CPXI MOTHERBOARD
This very unique design is a custom two slot compact PXI motherboard. The slots are arranged vertically at the board edge, rather than horizontally as typically seen in backplane configurations. A standard board edge PCI connector, seen at the top, is used for auxiliary signal I/O. The stack-up consists of 4 signal layers and two ground planes. Controlled impedance traces were used for the SATA, USB, PXI, VGA and LVDS signals. The board size is roughly 6" x 10".
